At the tail end of 2017 the New York Times released an article on a secret program in the Pentagon to study ongoing interactions with unidentified flying objects that fighter pilots and navy crewman have only been able to describe as flying “Tic-Tacs” that can achieve mind boggling aeronautical maneuvers.
Even though the thought of extraterrestrial life was incredibly interesting on it’s own, what struck me is something I’ve noticed for a long time. People often choose words that minimize when describing the inexplicable. I wanted to explore the absurdity of a fighter jet squaring off with a breath mint to highlight this occurrence.
